Pokémon Jungle Checklist (All 64 Cards, with Rarity and Errors)
All 64 English Pokémon Jungle cards with numbers, types, stages and rarities, plus the no-symbol holos and other known errors, cross-checked.
Quick answer: Jungle was the first English expansion after Base Set. It came out on June 16, 1999 and has 64 cards, marked with a small Vileplume-flower set symbol (Bulbapedia; Wikipedia; both accessed 2026-10-07).
| Group | Numbers | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Holo Rare Pokémon | 1–16 | 16 |
| Rare Pokémon (non-holo): the same 16 Pokémon as the holos | 17–32 | 16 |
| Uncommon Pokémon | 33–48 | 16 |
| Common Pokémon | 49–63 | 15 |
| Trainer (Poké Ball) | 64 | 1 |
Jungle has no Energy cards and only one Trainer. The Japanese version (March 5, 1997) had 48 cards. The English set added the non-holo versions of the 16 rares (Bulbapedia, accessed 2026-10-07).
Cross-check: we compared all 64 numbers, names and rarities between Bulbapedia and the open Pokémon TCG Data dataset (accessed 2026-10-07). 0 conflicts. Types and Evolution stages below come from that dataset.

Print runs: 1st Edition and Unlimited
Jungle was printed in a 1st Edition run, with a black “Edition 1” stamp below the art on the opposite side from the set symbol, and then an Unlimited run with no stamp (Bulbapedia 1st Edition, accessed 2026-10-07). Wizards added the non-holo rares partly so that packs no longer guaranteed a holo (Bulbapedia, accessed 2026-10-07). For how the stamp and print runs work on Base Set, see 1st Edition vs Shadowless vs Unlimited.
Jungle came in 11-card booster packs (7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 rare), 36 packs to a box. PSA’s 2017 article says about one pack in three had a holo, and 1st Edition packs came in three wrapper designs (Scyther, Wigglytuff, Flareon) (PSA, Sep 22, 2017). Two theme decks used Jungle cards: Power Reserve and Water Blast (Bulbapedia, accessed 2026-10-07).
Known errors and variants
1. No-symbol holos (the big one). A large part of the Unlimited holo print run came out without the Jungle set symbol (Bulbapedia Error cards; Wikipedia; both accessed 2026-10-07). It affects holos #1–16 only. PriceCharting tracks “No Symbol” copies of each holo as a separate line. Full guide: Jungle no-symbol error.
How to check: look at the right side of the card, just below the bottom right corner of the art box. That is where the flower symbol sits on a normal copy. If the spot is blank on a holo with no 1st Edition stamp, you may have a no-symbol copy.
2. Electrode #18 with the wrong art. The non-holo Electrode uses the Base Set Electrode artwork instead of the art on the holo #2. Bulbapedia says every 1st Edition non-holo copy has it. A 2017 PSA article quotes a collector saying there is no corrected version (Bulbapedia Error cards; PSA, Sep 22, 2017; both accessed 2026-10-07). If you have an Unlimited copy, compare its art with the holo to see which version you have.
3. “d Edition” Butterfree #33. An ink speck inside the 1st Edition stamp makes the “1” look like a “d”. Bulbapedia calls it one of the most common Wizards-era errors and says over 100 copies exist. PSA grades it as a separate variety, and PriceCharting tracks it as its own line (Bulbapedia Error cards; PSA, 2017; PriceCharting; accessed 2026-10-07).
4. Text errors on Rapidash #44 and Seaking #46. Both cards tell you to put them on a “Stage 1” card when they evolve from a Basic Pokémon. Every copy has this, so it is not a scarcer variant (Bulbapedia Error cards, accessed 2026-10-07).
5. Ink-streak variants. Kangaskhan #21 and Snorlax #27 both turn up as Unlimited non-holos with a streak of missing magenta ink. Collectors call the Snorlax “Yellow Highlighter.” The Kangaskhan goes by “Green Spear” on Bulbapedia and “Yellow Highlighter Kangaskhan” in an Elite Fourum misprint guide (Bulbapedia Error cards; Elite Fourum Jungle Misprint Guide, Oct 2023; accessed 2026-10-07).
6. Ivy Pikachu. A Wizards Black Star Promo #1 Pikachu with a 1st Edition stamp turned up in a small number of 1st Edition Jungle packs. It is not one of the 64 numbered Jungle cards. PSA’s 2017 article cites reports of about one per 10 booster boxes; treat that as an estimate (Bulbapedia Error cards; PSA, 2017; accessed 2026-10-07).
Small one-off ink specks (hickeys) on single copies are common in WOTC-era sets. Most sell for little or no premium. For the full list, see Bulbapedia’s error page.

Source: PriceCharting Jungle and Jungle 1st Edition set pages, accessed 2026-10-07. “Ungraded” covers any raw condition, so a played copy and a pack-fresh copy are blended.
What the table shows on that date: Snorlax was the highest holo in all three columns, 1st Edition summaries ran roughly 2–6× Unlimited, and No Symbol copies ran above regular Unlimited for every holo. That is a snapshot, not a forecast.
FAQ
How many cards are in Pokémon Jungle? 64: 16 holos, 16 non-holo rares, 16 uncommons, 15 commons and one Trainer.
Are no-symbol Jungle holos fake? No. They are a known factory error on Unlimited holos. A missing symbol on a non-holo or a 1st Edition card is not this error, so look closer.
Is Jungle worth grading? Most Unlimited holos have ungraded summaries under $60, so a grading fee can take much of the value. Run the numbers in should I grade my card?
