Affiliate disclosure
Short version: some links on Common to Grail will be affiliate links once we join affiliate programs (we haven’t yet). If you click one and then buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. It never changes what we write about a card, or any value information we show.
How it works
- Current status: Common to Grail is not yet a member of any affiliate program. This page describes how affiliate links will work once we join one.
- Once we join their programs, some links to marketplaces and stores (eBay, TCGplayer, Amazon and hobby-supply sellers) will be affiliate links. These stores would pay us a small percentage of qualifying purchases made after you click.
What affiliate links do NOT change
- Values and sales data. We source and date them the same way whether or not a link earns money. See How We Source Values.
- Recommendations. We link to wherever is genuinely useful for your next step, like checking sold prices or finding a copy. That includes free, non-affiliate sources such as grader population reports.
- Opinions. Nobody pays for coverage. If that ever changes for a specific piece (a sponsorship, for example), the page will say “Sponsored” at the top.
What we won’t do
- Invent urgency (“buy before it’s gone”) or claim a price will go up.
- Pretend we’ve bought or used something we haven’t.
- Publish fake reviews or testimonials.
Where you’ll see disclosures
Every page with affiliate links carries a short notice before the first affiliate link. Videos and social posts that include affiliate links say so in the video or post itself, not only in a linked page.
